Bolero Lava was a mid-1980s
pop punk all-women band from Vancouver,British Columbia ,Canada . They recorded their first single on the indie labelMo-Da-Mu and their second onLava Rock Records — presumably their own label.Although the band recorded only two singles before breaking up, they are acknowledged as a significant influence both on the Vancouver music scene and in the history of Canadian
punk rock . The band also performed live onCBC Radio 's "Brave New Waves "; a song from that session, "Easy", appeared on the 1991 "Brave New Waves" compilation album.Personnel
