Leawarra is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Frankston, on the Stony Point railway line. Leawarra is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 2.

Facilities

The station is located on Bloom Street, which also provides station access.

The station consists of one side platform, with a bus stop like shelter at the Stony Point end of the station, and is the shortest platform in regular use in Victoria, at 44 metres long, however an extension is now under construction. Like all stations on the Stony Point line, the station contains no Metcard machine or validators, with passengers required to pre-purchase tickets and validate them on arrival at Frankston [cite web | title = Stony Point Line - Ticket and validation machines | publisher = Metlink | url = http://www.metlinkmelbourne.com.au/news/media_releases/metropolitan_trains/stony_point_line_ticket_and_validation_machines | accessdate = 2008-04-26 ] .

The Monash University Peninsula Campus is a short walk from the station.

History
