Williamstown Beach is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Williamstown, on the Williamstown railway line, 14.4km from Flinders Street Station. Williamstown Beach is unmanned and is in Metcard Zone 1.

Facilities

The station is located between Railway Crescent and Railway Place, with station access from both.

The station consists of two side platforms: Platform 1 (Flinders Street bound) has a large brick building, while platform 2 (Williamstown bound) has a smaller brick building. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small coin-only Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 2. An underpass is situated at the Williamstown end of the station.

The platforms are generally used during the week for students attending Williamstown High School (Pasco Campus), which is just off platform 2.

History

Williamstown Beach station opened on August 7 1889 as "Beach". It was later renamed to "Williamstown Beach" in 1915.
