Ripponlea is a railway station in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, located in the suburb of Ripponlea, on the Sandringham railway line. Ripponlea is classed as a Host Station and is in Metcard Zone 1.
Facilities
Ripponlea station is located at the northern end of the Glen Eira Road level crossing, with station access from Glen Eira Road, Oak Grove and Morres Street.
The station consists of two side platforms: Platform 1 (Flinders Street bound) has a large weatherboard building, while platform 2 (Sandringham bound) has a smaller weatherboard building. A large Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 1, which is able to dispense most ticketing options available and also accept notes and coins. A small coin-only Metcard machine is located at the entrance to platform 2. A footbridge is situated at down end of the station.
