Au (squat)

Au the name of a building that has been squatted since June 4, 1983 in Frankfurt, Germany. It bills itself as an "Autonomous Cultural Centre and Living Project".

Au was home to the Au Squat Festival on June 3rd, 2006, featuring many punk rock bands such as The Restarts. The 2007 festival was on June 9th with band like Sensa Yuma and the festival 2008 will be on June 7th. Beside the open air festival there are many other concerts and cultural or political events during the year. Every Thursday is a peoples kitchen with tasty dinner at cost price and the bar open until 1 a.m..
