*4 December 1983 - Colm McGirr (23) and Brian Campbell (19), both Catholic members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, were shot dead by an undercover British Army member, while approaching an arms dump in a field, near Coalisland.1992
*16 February 1992 - Kevin O'Donnell (21), Sean O'Farrell (23), Peter Clancy (19) and Daniel Vincent (20), all Catholic members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, were shot dead by undercover British Army members, in the car park of St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Dernagh, near Coalisland, shortly after they had been involved in a gun attack on Coalisland British Army/Royal Ulster Constabulary base.
