History of the 97.1 FM frequency

In the past, WQWK used to broadcast on this frequency. 97.1 QWK Rock was extremely popular and was usually ranked high in area ratings. However, hampered by a weak signal in areas such as Philipsburg and Altoona, WQWK moved to 98.7, and again in 2006 to 103.1.
