Visalia, California . He earned aB.A. in Mathematics fromUC Berkeley in 1972, and his Ph.D. in physics in 1979 atMIT ,Cambridge, Massachusetts , USA. In the period of 2004-2006 he served as the president ofKAIST inDaejeon ,South Korea .Laughlin shares similar views to George Chapline, doubting the existence of
black holes .Publications
