It was built in the Georgian style, in the early part of the 20th century.
The station has no station agent or station services. It serves Amtrak's Cardinal trains 50 and 51. The tracks, once owned by the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway, are owned by CSX.
Of the four Kentucky stations served by Amtrak, Maysville was the third-busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 5 passengers daily.[2]
