Cambodia n politician and brother of Prime MinisterLon Nol . While KingNorodom Sihanouk was on a trip abroad inBeijing ,China , on March 18, 1970, PrinceSirik Matak assisted Prime MinisterLon Nol , in organizing a vote of the National Assembly to depose Siahnouk as head of state and to himself emergency powers.Lon Nil was in the countryside of Cambodia monitoring the villages when Sihanouk made a public appeal in China for Cambodians to join with the Khmer Rouge and revolt against the government. In
Kompong Cham , a group seized Lon Nil, killed him and tore his liver from his stomach. It was then taken into a Chinese restaurant, where the owner was ordered to cook and slice it. It was then served to people in the immediate area.
