Amagasaki mayoral election, 2002

Amagasaki City held a mayoral election on November 17 2002. Shirai Aya, backed by Japanese Communist Party (JCP) and the local group "Amagasaki Residents Group for Democratic City Administration" defeted Miyata Yoshio.
