Lumalive is a
photonic textile , which uses cloth as a lighted graphic display medium. Developed by Philips Research Technologies, Lumalive integrates a flexible array of miniaturelight-emitting diode s into a piece of cloth, which allows the cloth to display graphics, text, and animation.Philips first unveiled a prototype of Lumalive at IFA 2005 (an international industrial exhibition).
