He was born in 1963 in
Jersey . Upon leaving school he served in theRoyal Marines as a bugle-boy before moving on to a career in personal protection, and becoming a fully qualified executive protection specialist.He is a musician, having had three albums produced and distributed over the internet and regularly performing in healing masses for the Christian community in Jersey. Deputy Le Claire first stood for election in a Senatorial by-election in February 1999, coming second to
Jerry Dorey with 1,811 votes [Jersey by elections, 1999 ] .Jerry Dorey vacated his position as Deputy in
St Helier District #1 in April 1999, a position to which Deputy Le Claire was elected [Jersey by elections, 1999 ] .He was elected as
Senator in the Senator elections in November 1999, placing 4th with 8,287 votes [Jersey general election, 1999 ] .In 2005 he was a founder member of the
Jersey Democratic Alliance , but following the resignation of SenatorTed Vibert as Chairman and the subsequent election of a more left-leaning leadership, he left to lead the Centre Party.In the Senator election in 2005 he polled ninth of fifteen candidates and failed to gain re-election.
Following the election he announced that he was resigning his membership of the Centre Party and in the subsequent Deputy election he was elected as Deputy of St Helier District #1, topping the poll [
