WM-data was founded by
Thord Wilkne andHans Mellström (the W and M in the company's name) in1969 in Stockholm, Sweden. Today the company is one of Sweden's leading IT company and has regional offices in numerous cities located in the Nordic countries. The company offers overall solutions in IT related areas. It is divided in three branches:brand ing, specialist andinfrastructure , where its main areas are thesecondary sector of industry ,commerce andlogistics ,bank ,finance andinsurance ,telecommunications ,public sector ,medicine andhealth care , andutility .Market
Its main market is the Nordic countries and its main customers are large companies and organisations. The Swedish branch stands for around 65 % of the turnover, Denmark 15 %, Norway and Finland around 10 % each.
Acquisitions

2005 , WM-data acquiredAtos Origin 's operations in Sweden and Norway for approximately 1.33 billion SEK.
