GoFish

GoFish

GoFish (OTCBB: GOFH) is a free video sharing website, headquartered in San Francisco, California, allowing visitors to watch and upload video clips, similar to websites like YouTube and Google Video. It was started in May 2005.

GoFish primarily differentiates itself from such websites by focusing on "directed" content (i.e. telling users what kinds of videos to make instead of just accepting whatever users come up with), and claiming to be the first to take the leap into merging online broadcasting with over the air broadcasting. The current push of GoFish Technologies, Inc., the company behind GoFish, is an online "reality show" that deals with dating and user-selected contestants, with the semifinalists completing the competition on an as yet undisclosed television network. GoFish pioneered this approach with the launch of America's Dream Date last June -- the first reality-themed online show harnessing user-generated video, and sponsored by a national beverage brand, Jetset Energy Drink.

American Idol Taylor Hicks is the first celebrity to be featured on its new online program, Artist Voices. Premiering December, 14th, 2006 and following the launch of Hicks' self-titled album on Arista Records, the show enables Taylor Hicks fans to communicate directly with Hicks by leveraging the wildly popular medium of user-generated video. The show also offers exclusive behind-the-scenes footage and an inside look at Hicks on the road.

The company recently formed a Branded Entertainment Division to focus on collaboration between marketers and creative talent in the development of original programming initiatives. Vice Presidents C.J. Bowden, David Fisch and Lori Macias, who have deep ties within the entertainment community, run the division. Formerly with Yahoo!, the three executives helped develop, manage and sell Yahoo!'s Front Page, community properties and branded entertainment business, which included The Apprentice, The Contender and Entertainment Tonight.

GoFish also recently added Peter Guber, chairman and CEO of Mandalay Entertainment Group, to its board of directors. Guber is a pre-eminent figure within the film and entertainment industry, bringing extensive experience to GoFish's board.

"Cultivating and promoting the development of quality video entertainment is our primary objective at GoFish," said Michael Downing, founder and CEO of GoFish. Web traffic on our site has nearly tripled over the past month (i.e. for November 2006), illustrating the continued momentum of online video consumption and the popularity growth of GoFish.com."

GoFish, an early entrant into the user-generated video sector and the first publicly traded company (ticker: GOFH.OB) in the space, provides people with an online platform for uploading, sharing, searching for and watching videos from around the world.

Recently announced (i.e. November 21, 2006) the appointment of former Kodak EasyShare Gallery Chief Architect, Greg Schroeder, as the company's chief technology officer.

Michael Downing is serving as CEO & Chairman of the Board. Michael was COO of Sonique, one of the first personal audio management applications and technologies enabling consumers to listen to MP3 files on their computers. Sonique was sold to Lycos in 1999.
