Achna ( _el. Άχνα), _tr. Duzce is a village in Cyprus in the Famagusta District, just north of the United Nations Buffer Zone. Prior to the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, it was an exclusively Greek Village, with the main industry supporting it being the growing of potatoes in red, iron rich soil which surrounded it. Now though, lying as it does in the buffer zone, it is deserted, save for a few UN troops. Instead, a new "village" was built close by, in the nearby Achna Forest Dasaki, within the confines of the Dhekelia Sovereign Base Area, where initially a refugee camp was present. It is well-known for its football club Ethnikos Achna FC, that won the UEFA Intertoto Cup in 2006. In 2001 the number of inhabitants was 1,952.
