Yew Chung International School (YCIS) is a highly prestigious private school which provides pre-school through to secondary education in Hong Kong, China and the United States. The school was founded in 1932 by Madame Tsang Chor-hang, a relative of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. Yew Chung International School incorporates a unique educational model and teaching methodology that has led the school to be recognized as an authority in international education recognized by tertiary institutions worldwide. The curriculum is taught through thematic teaching, which ties a common theme through all subjects taught in a semester. Yew Chung offers a wide range of extracurricular activities, ranging from sports such as swimming and basketball to more intellectual activities such as math/physics competitions and robotics. Teachers are recruited worldwide, ranging from England and Australia to local teaching staff from Asia. The Parent Organizations (PO) also initiate and coordinate many events and activities throughout the school year.

The admissions procedure is highly competitive, and requires extensive testing and an interview stage. The admissions percentage range from year to year, usually around 15%. Tuition ranges from approximately 15,000 to 20,000 USD per year for day students. All graduates are accepted to highly recognized top national universities in the world such as Harvard University, Oxford/Cambridge University, University of Toronto, and the venerable Hong Kong Baptist University. The international Cambridge University examinations are hosted in conjunction with YCIS.

All schools feature a bilingual, bi-cultural education in English and Chinese. YCIS's philosophy centers around "holistic education." The schools also place heavy emphasis on "global commitment" and eco-conscious living.
