Texas A&M University Century Singers

The Texas A&M University Century Singers are Texas A&M University's 80 member mixed choral group. The current director is Dr. Jess Wade III.

History

The group was formed in 1970, the first year the university began to accept women for enrollment. Bob Jarvis was the first president and director of the group. The original name of the group was "The New Tradition Singers" to reference the newness of a mixed choir in a formerly all-male university.
