Crossroad Bible Institute

Crossroad Bible Institute provides faith-based reentry education for people in prison. Courses are on three levels, the highest being college level courses sponsored by The Center for Advanced Studies at Crossroad Bible Institute. Based in Grand Rapids, Michigan, lessons are corrected by trained Instructors and returned to the students with personal letters of encouragement and discipleship. CBI is a licensed post-secondary school.

Crossroad is accredited by the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability and the American Correctional Association, and is a member of the National Association of Evangelicals and World Reformed Fellowship.

Currently 40,000 students are completing lessons in all 50 states and in over 50 foreign countries. Distribution Centers are located in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Colombia, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Ghana, Nigeria, Singapore and the United Kingdom. The program is available in English and Spanish.

The Center for Advanced Studies houses CBI's reentry program that connects those who have been in prison with reentry agencies in the area of their anticipated release to assist them in finding a job, securing housing and, if desired, locating a church. In addition, the Center provides continuing education for its 5,000 volunteers as well as leadership in the areas of criminal, restorative and social justice.

Crossroad Bible Institute sponsors a weekly radio program, Crossroad Connection, as a voice for restorative justice. With interviews, letters from prison, restorative news programs and meditations, the program hosted by David Schuringa, is speaking out for those left unheard. Crossroad Connection can be heard on radio stations around the world and is streamed online.
