David Schuringa

H. David Schuringa (born 1952) is a Christian theologian, pastor, and leader. He is president of Crossroad Bible Institute, a Grand Rapids, Michigan, organization that provides faith-based reentry education for people in prison. He was ordained as a Minister of the Word in the Christian Reformed Church in North America (CRCNA) in 1982.

Schuringa was born and raised in the Chicago area. He graduated with a B.A. in theology from Trinity Christian College in Palos Heights, Illinois. He has received two Masters degrees from Westminster Theological Seminary (Philadelphia) and a Th.M. from Calvin Theological Seminary. His doctorate, in the area of homiletics is from the Kampen Theological University.

Before leading Crossroad Bible Institute, Schuringa's full-time work included serving as pastor of three different churches. Schuringa also was professor of Practical Theology for eight years at Westminster Seminary California.
