Gjirokastër County (Albanian: Qarku i Gjirokastrës) is one of the 12 counties of Albania. It consists of the districts Gjirokastër, Përmet, and Tepelenë and its capital is Gjirokastër. Its population includes a substantial Greek minority.^[2][3] To the southeast, Gjirokastër shares a border with Greece. Domestically, it borders the following counties:

• Berat: north
• Korçë: east
• Vlorë: west
• Fier: northwest
