Sullivant Avenue

Sullivant Avenue is a street in Columbus, Ohio, United States, running east to west. It starts at the western city limits, and runs to near downtown. Sullivant Avenue has many neighborhoods alongside it.

History

Sullivant Avenue is named for the Sullivant family, among the earliest residents of the area. During the Civil War, present-day Sullivant Avenue was the southern boundary of the military prison camp, Camp Chase. There is now a Confederate cemetery there.

Crime
