The Libraries have a collection of approximately 2.7 million volumes; 5,000,000 federal, state, and foreign government documents; and over 315,000 audio recordings. The Libraries subscribe to over 22,000 serial publications, including over 6,000 electronic journals, and have over 3.7 million
microform s, 467,000map s, and 3.2 millionsatellite and aerial images. There are 3.2 miles ofmanuscript and archival collections, including theCalifornia Ethnic and Multicultural Archives . Through the [http://www.library.ucsb.edu Libraries' Web site] , UCSB users anywhere in the world can access online catalogs, article indexes and databases, completeelectronic journal s, and other scholarly resources. The UCSB Libraries serve a campus of 19,000 students and 1,000 faculty at theUniversity of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB).Davidson Library is the main library at UCSB. The Library offers a quiet location for UCSB students to study, including a 24-hour study room which accepts pizza deliveries. Wireless internet access is available on the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 8th floors of the
Library , and the 8th floor offers a panoramic view of UCSB,Isla Vista , theSanta Barbara Channel , and the Channel Islands.The Davidson Library is named in honor of Donald C. Davidson, University Librarian from
