Competing in two Winter Olympics, he won a gold medal in the team large hill event at Salt Lake City in 2002.
Uhrmann also won three medals at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, with a gold in 2001 (Team large hill), a silver in 2005 (Team normal hill), and a bronze in 2001 (Team normal hill). He also won a bronze in the team event at the FIS Ski-Flying World Championships 2006. Current owner of a record jump in Klingenthal (146.5m, 02/02/11).
Uhrmann also has four World Cup victories since 2000.
Personal life
With his wife Heidi he has two daughters: Leni Viktoria (*4.4.2006) and Emily (*18.10.2009).
