Medullary inspiratory neuron

A medullary inspiratory neuron is a neuron in the inspiratory centre of the medulla of the brain. Inputs to this neuron come from the peripheral chemoreceptors, carotid body, aortic body, and central chemoreceptors. It regulates breathing.
