Sahajadpur is a census town in Murshidabad district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Sahajadpur had a population of 15,720. Males constitute 48% of the population and females 52%. Sahajadpur has an average literacy rate of 44%, lower than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 53%, and female literacy is 37%. In Sahajadpur, 20% of the population is under 6 years of age.
