Demographics
As of 2001[update] India census,[1] Mundka had a population of 43,898. Males constitute 56% of the population and females 44%. Mundka has an average literacy rate of 78%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 65%. In Mundka, 16% of the population is under 6 years of age. This village comes under 8th no Assembly of Delhi. Former Cabinet minister & Chief Minister Sahib Singh Verma was also born and brought up in this village. Moreover this is an advanced village of Delhi State. In addition, Dada Bhero Mandir (Temple) is well renowned temple in village.
Accessibility
The Mundka station of Delhi Metro rail has started from 2 April 2010. Mundka to inderlok. The 15.1 km corridor benefits thousands of people in the national capital’s west and northwest. The corridor, also called the Green Line, connect Inderlok (on Dilshad Garden—Rithala line) and Kirti Nagar (on Dwarka – Noida City Centre/ Vaishali line).[2][3]
