Ladwa is a city and a municipal committee in Kurukshetra District in the Indian state of Haryana.

Geography

Ladwa is located at coord|29.07|N|75.8|E| [ [http://www.fallingrain.com/world/IN/10/Ladwa.html Falling Rain Genomics, Inc - Ladwa] ] . It has an average elevation of 209 metres (685 feet).It is located on the Yammunanagar to Kurukshetra road and is also close to the towns of Shahbad and Radaur. Ladwa has one of the best new grain markets all over Asia.

Demographics

As of 2001 India census [GR|India] , Ladwa had a population of 22,439. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Ladwa has an average literacy rate of 71%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 75%, and female literacy is 66%. In Ladwa, 12% of the population is under 6 years of age.
