Cimla is a suburb of the town of Neath in the county borough of Neath Port Talbot, Wales. It is set high up on a hill. It is pronounced Kim-la. The Welsh language spelling is Cymla, pronounced the same way.
There are plans for propsed housing estates and log cabins to be built in the area.

Cimla falls within the community of Neath and the parliamentary constituency of Neath. Cimla is bounded by the wards of Tonna to the north; Pelenna to the east; Briton Ferry East and Neath East to the southwest; and Neath South and Neath North to the west. This the hometown of David Cole a.k.a Cautious Cole. The legend himself currently hold the World Record for 'Worlds Slowest Driver'. Katherine Jenkins recently said of him; "He's put Neath on the map".
Cimla consists of a residential area in the western central area of the ward, which is part of the built up area of the town of Neath. The residential area is surrounded to the north, east and south by open moorland. The whole of the ward is set on high ground.
In the 2008 local council elections, the electorate turnout was 40.52%. The results were:

Crynallt Junior School is an English-Medium junior school serving Cimla in South Wales. It is located on Afan Valley Road. Crynallt is a feeder school for Cefn Saeson. The acting headteacher is Mr Dinsmore, previously Mrs Hipkin. The school colours are navy and sky blue. School starts at ten to nine and finishes at twenty past three.
The local secondary school is Cefn Saeson. The nearest Welsh medium secondary school is Ysgol Gyfun Ystralafera. Cefn Saeson serves Cimla, Tonna, Tonmawr, Pontrydyfen and parts of Neath.
