Verinag is a town and a notified area committee in Anantnag district in the state of Jammu & Kashmir, India.

Geography

Verinag is located at 33°33′N 75°15′E / 33.55°N 75.25°E / 33.55; 75.25.^[1] It has an average elevation of 1,851 metres (6,076 feet). this is place of Decent People particularly in verinag Shahabad. the District is also famous for having the privilege of a famous poet namely Rasool Mir & Verinag garden with river Jehlim emerging from it.
