Along with Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly is widely regarded by IS researchers as one of the two most prestigious journals in the information systems discipline.[1][2] MISQ is supported by the Association for Information Systems.[3] MIS Quarterly is published by the MIS Research Center at the University of Minnesota. The current editor-in-chief is Detmar Straub. The journal was established in 1977.
MIS Quarterly had the highest impact factor (4.978) of all peer-reviewed academic journals in the field of Business from 1992–2005.[4]
