Vladivostok Air (also Vladivostok Avia; Russian: Владивосток Авиа) is an airline based in Vladivostok, Russia. It operates scheduled domestic flights and international flights to United States,China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam and Germany. VIP flights and helicopter services are also provided. Its main base is Vladivostok International Airport (VVO).

History

The airline started operations in 1932, and in 2003 merged with Khakasia Airlines incorporating its fleet and route network. It is owned by the State (51%) and Vladivostok Air employees (48%).

Incidents and accidents

In July 2001, Vladivostok Air Flight 352, a Tupolev Tu-154 belonging to Vladivostok Air crashed while attempting to land in Irkutsk, Russia, killing all 145 people aboard [http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/1421319.stm] . The Vladivostok Air fleet includes the following aircraft (at April 2008):

The airline took delivery of its first Airbus A320 in November 2006 under a lease agreement with International Lease Finance Corporation. It is currently used on international services from Vladivostok to Niigata, Seoul, Bangkok and Hanoi, and on domestic services to Yakutsk, Irkutsk, Novokuznetsk and to Krasnodar via Novosibirsk. A second A320 was delivered in March 2007. Two more will be delivered in 2008 and a further two in 2009 [Airliner World January 2007] .
