Little Lehigh Creek

The Little Lehigh Creek is a tributary of Jordan Creek, approximately 24 miles (38.6 km) long, in eastern Pennsylvania, in the United States. It is also sometimes referred to as the Little Lehigh River.

The river flows in a winding course through the Lehigh Valley. It originates in Longswamp Township in Berks County and flows through Lower Macungie Township and Salisbury Township. In the city of Allentown it joins Jordan Creek, which then flows into the Lehigh River.

It has convert|88.8|sqmi|km2|1 of drainage area in Lehigh County and convert|18.7|sqmi|km2|1 of drainage area in Berks County.

Recreation

The Little Lehigh forms a linear park in Allentown and Emmaus. This park has a covered bridge and walking trails along the creek. In spite of a trout hatchery in the park, the stream is well known for its native population of brown trout. Sections of the stream are designated for catch and release fly fishing only.
