Grand Junction High School's student-run newspaper is the Orange and Black, a monthly, color newsmagazine published 7-9 times a year. The paper is consistently regarded as one of the best student-run, high school newspapers in the nation, having won several awards from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association and the Colorado High School Press Association. In November 2007 it was awarded a Pacemaker by the National Scholastic Press Association, which is one of the highest national honors for high school journalism.
