O Goshi (大腰 ) is one of the original 40 throws of Judo as developed by Jigoro Kano. It belongs to the first group, Dai Ikkyo, of the traditional throwing list, Gokyo (no waza), of Kodokan Judo. It is also part of the current 67 Throws of Kodokan Judo. It is classified as a hip technique, Koshi-Waza.
O Goshi is also one of the 20 techniques in Danzan Ryu's Nagete list.

Technique Description

In O Goshi, tori wraps one arm around uke's waist and moves his hips in front of uke's while pulling uke's far arm across tori's body. Tori kneels slightly in the engagement, lifts uke with his legs, pulls on the far arm, and throws uke over his hip. [1]
