John Max Rosenfield (born
October 9 ,1924 ) is an Americanart historian , with a specialization inJapanese art .He began teaching at
Harvard University in 1968, and is now theAbby Aldrich Rockefeller Professor of East Asian Art, "Emeritus""Rosenfield to be awarded Banto Prize in March."
