Colbert I. King (born September 20, 1939) is a Pulitzer Prize-winning columnist for the Washington Post. He is deputy editor of the Post's editorial page. King earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in government from Howard University in 1961. Before joining the staff of the Washington Post on August 1, 1990, King served as:

In 2003, King won the Pulitzer Prize in Commentary "for his against the grain columns that speak to people in power with ferocity and wisdom". King lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife, Gwendolyn Stewart King. They have three children. His son, Rob King, is editor-in-chief at ESPN.com.
