Davlekanovo (Russian: Давлеканово; Bashkir: Дәүләкән) is a town in the Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia, located on the Dyoma River 90 kilometers (56 mi) west of Ufa. Population: 24,040 (2010 Census preliminary results);^[1] 23,860 (2002 Census);^[2] 21,911 (1989 Census).^[4]

History

It has been known since the mid-18th century as the village of Itkulovo (Иткулово); later renamed Davlekanovo. Urban-type settlement status was granted to it in 1928 and town status was granted in 1942.
