Yeshivat Ohr Yerushalayim (ישיבת אור ירושלים) is a yeshiva which caters to English-speaking students spending a year in Israel after high school. It is located on Moshav Beit Meir, nine miles (15 km) away from Jerusalem.
Programs
The yeshiva encourages offers leadership training seminars and is affiliated with the Yeshiva University Israel yeshiva program. The journal Jewish Thought on Bible and philosophy is published by the yeshiva in conjunction with the Orthodox Union. During the summer the yeshiva houses the NCSY summer Kollel program, which is a great way for jewish Men to spend their time learning. The Yeshiva is located on Harei Yehuda, which is the Judean Hills on the outskirts of Yerushalayim. The view is a must see. People come to Moshav Beit meir to enjoy both the Torah learning and the scenery of the Holy Land.
