Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael Of Atlanta is a private, Orthodox Jewish high school located in Atlanta, Georgia.[2] The school is both a Yeshiva and a fully accredited college preparatory high school for boys in grades 9-12. It was established to provide an option for high school boys who want a classical Yeshiva education.

History

The school was established in 2002 with only 9 students and as of 2008, has 41 students.

Leadership

The school is headed by Rabbi Mayer Neuberger, the Rosh Yeshiva, and Rabbi Avraham Kanarek], the Menahel. The school is run with the guidance of gedolim such as Rabbi Shmuel Kamenetsky and Rabbi David Twersky.

Ideology and curriculum

The mission of Yeshiva Ohr Yisrael of Atlanta is to inspire and assist each student in his quest to: nurture a personal relationship with Hashem, develop and refine his character, immerse himself in serious Torah scholarship, and attain the knowledge and skills necessary to be an articulate and well read citizen, prepared for higher education and the professional careers that follow.

The school offers a dual curriculum; a classical yeshiva education together with a fully accredited college preparatory general studies program.

Student population is both local (Atlanta, GA) and from other cities and countries.  A dorm is available for students from outside of Atlanta.
