Building work
Work on a capital building project started on the 26th November 2007 and will continue until September 2008. During this time, the main hall will be re-modeled into a state-of-the art performing arts venue, the dining room facilities will be extended and developed, and one of the entrance areas will be renovated.
Phase One
This started in November 07 and finished in April 08 this phase included a new Main Hall, a new car park and a new entrance. This phase is now complete and the school now has new media centre and main hall with a new floor, a new stage, new lighting and new stage curtains. Also the hall also has a booth in the corner to control the lighting and sound. The car park at the front of the school is also now completed but it is still being debated whether the car park will be extended onto the disused playground next to it as resisdents near the school were complaining of the traffic or if it will be landscaped. It was decided in July 08 that the disused playground to the right of the main car park would be turned into a new car park and should be open late September or early October.
Phase Two
This phase started on Monday 17th March 08 and is planned to finish in September 08. This phase of the plan includes the extension to the dining room. The extension of the dining room is now finished and work has now started on a new front car park for the school along with decorating the old dining room.
By September 2008 the school hope to finish the building work and have a new Arts and Media centre, extended dining room facilities and improved access to the school.
