- Haidar al-Abbadi
Haider al-Abadi ( _ar. حيدر العبّادي) is an
Iraqi politician and spokesman for theIslamic Call Party orIslamic Dawa Party .He was appointed Minister of Communications in the
Iraqi Governing Council on2003-09-01 . AShia Muslim and electronic consultant engineer by training with a PhD degree from Manchester, England , al-Abadi is half-Lebanese and lived in exile during the time ofSaddam Husein inLondon .In 2005 He served as an advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister in the 1st elected Government.
He was elected member of Iraqi Parliament in 2005 and is chairing the influential parliamentary committee for Economy, Investment and Reconstruction.
