WPBZ is located in the West Palm Beach, Florida area and broadcasts at 103.1 FM. Known as "103.1 The Buzz", it is a modern rock music station with the slogan "Florida's New Rock Alternative".

WPBZ signed on as 103.1 The Buzz on July 3rd, 1995 (it was an affiliate of the "Z Rock" radio network before then), and its 90,000-watt signal blankets South Florida's east coast from Hollywood in the south all the way to Sebastian in the north, a span of over 125 miles.

WPBZ's transmitter is located on the west side of Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Hobe Sound and is 972 feet high. Also sharing WPBZ's transmitter tower are stations WMBX and WKGR.

WPBZ broadcasts at 103.1 on the FM dial and also broadcasts an HD radio (high definition, hybrid digital) signal. It currently broadcasts a Buzz Light sub-channel on its secondary HD signal. Additionally, The Buzz streams the main Buzz broadcast through its website www.buzz103.com.

In the mornings, the station has its own local morning show called "The Morning Buzz with Loper, Smitty, & Randi". The show debuted on November 26, 2007. Previously, the station syndicated "The Howard Stern Show", "The David Lee Roth Show", and "The Opie & Anthony Show" show until 2007-10-29.

Buzz Light - (Sunday mornings with host Jason Davis) - Buzz Light is described as "the lighter side of The Buzz". The show features album cuts, acoustic and live music from Buzz artists, and lighter songs from artists that might not normally be played on The Buzz. Past hosts include Dan O'Brien, Robert English, and Glenn Glazer.

Buzz Junior - (Sunday nights with host Jeremy Steve Clark) - Buzz Junior features lots of new music, unsigned local bands, indie bands, and classic older songs.

The 90s at 9 - (Weekdays with hosts Loper & Smitty and Jason Davis) - The 90s at 9 features the best of 90s Alternative.

Rock Hard Buzz - (Saturday nights with host Metal Mick) - Rock Hard Buzz features the heaviest metal and rock songs from past and present.

Buzz Bake Sale

The Buzz hosts an all-day music festival each year called the "Buzz Bake Sale" which is one of the largest annual music festivals in South Florida. It is usually held on the first Saturday in December in West Palm Beach. The show has always been held at the Cruzan Amphitheatre (formerly known as Sound Advice Amphitheatre). Each year, information about the show is posted at www.buzzbakesale.com. The "Buzz Bake Sale" name was chosen because the first two years featured 13 bands (a "baker's dozen" of bands).
