- HMS Hebe (J24)
HMS "Hebe" was a "Halcyon" class minesweeper that saw service in the
Royal Navy in the Second World War. She was built at the Devonport Dockyard and she was commissioned in1936 . Her penant number was N 24, later J 24.HMS "Hebe" served during the evacuation of Dunkirk in
1940 , and later saw service in the Mediterranean Sea based at Malta as part of14th/17th Minesweeper Flotilla . She participated in theMalta Convoys ,Operation Torch , and the invasion ofPantelleria .The ship was lost to a mine off
Bari on22 November ,1943 .ources
