Foreign Ops Administration

Foreign Ops Administration

The Foreign Ops Administration was a branch of the United States Government active until 1955 when it was abolished by Ex. Ord. No. 10610 of May 9 [http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/22/usc_sec_22_00000281----000-notes.html] . Its functions and offices were transferred to the Department of State and the Department of Defense, effective June 30, 1955. The exact functions of the Administration are unclear, other than its involvement in a number of Joint Hearings of the Committee on Armed Services and the Committee on Foreign Relations in the 1950s.
