Holwierde (coord|53|21|N|6|52|E|type:city(813)) is a town in the Dutch province of Groningen. It is a part of the municipality of Delfzijl, and lies about 26 km northeast of Groningen.

In 2001, the town of Holwierde had 813 inhabitants.
