The Mandokhel or Mindo Khel (Pashto: مندو خیل ) is a Pashtun[1] tribe primarily found in northern regions of Balochistan Province, Pakistan and southern Afghanistan[2] Most of the Mandokhels are settled in Zhob District of Balochistan Province, Pakistan,They live on both sides of Zhob river.[1]
They are mentioned in the colonial history by Elphinstone in his "kingdom of Caubul" in 1909. After that, many British writers such as H. W. Bellew and Major Raverty have extensively written on them. The Gazetteer of District Zhob gives a detail of Mandokhail.
Mandokhels have actively participated in Pakistani politics. So far there have been three senators one MPA from Mandokhels.
