Loose Creek, Missouri

Loose Creek is an unincorporated community in Osage County, Missouri, USA. It is located on U.S. Route 50 about eight miles east of Jefferson City. Originally called Russellville, it was renamed for the creek which runs near it.

Many German families, especially from the Krefeld area, the "Rhinelanders", settled here around 1851. The community appeared in the series "Germans in America" on German television.
