- Stanley Rosenberg
Stanley "Stan" Rosenberg (born 1949) is an American politician, a Democratic member of the
Massachusetts Senate. He was first elected to the Massachusetts Senate in 1990. Rosenberg was elected to the state House of Representatives in1986 and served as the representative for Amherst and Pelham until 1991 when he won a special election for the state Senate seat being vacated by CongressmanJohn Olver . He worked as an aide to Olver from 1980-83 when the Congressman was a state Senator. Rosenberg also served as a staff member of the Massachusetts Democratic Party from 1983-85, and as the district director for U.S. Representative Chester Atkins from 1985-86.Stan is a 1977 graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Amherst, where he worked for eight years, first as director of the Arts Extension Service and then as director of the Community Development and Human Service Programs in the Division of Continuing Education.
