Politics

Conrad ran for a seat in the Canadian House of Commons as a Green Party of Canada candidate in the 1988 federal election. He ran in the Calgary Centre electoral district. He placed fifth out of seven candidates with 670 votes.[1]

After the federal election Conrad and his supporters believed there should be a Green Party registered on the provincial level. He led the effort to get the Green Party of Alberta registered by Elections Alberta. After the party became registered in 1990 he moved out of the province.[2]
